In the UAE, all workers are required to sign fixed-term employment contracts for up to three years as per the prevailing labor law. If the employer fails to extend or renew the contract and the employee continues to work, then it is deemed that the contract is renewed under the current terms and conditions. Furthermore, renewals are automatically counted for calculating the end-of-service gratuity.
